A skilled and passionate child protection investigator, trainer, and consultant, and in 2021 have 25 years in the safeguarding field in many areas. My career began as being a career detective cumulating in child abuse investigation and then to be selected for my expertise to train all child abuse specialist officers in the investigation of child abuse. During the last 10 years of my career, I worked in the Child Abuse arena, spending 10 years as a child abuse investigator, trainer, and consultant as a Detective. I undertook a training qualification with the police to enable me to become an affiliated trainer and consultant for the Police. and achieved a BA(Hons) in safeguarding children and families. I was responsible to train police officers and social workers to investigate child abuse from referral to the conclusion.Upon my retirement from the police in 2008, I have worked as an independent trainer and consultant. I am a CPD Accredited trainer delivering courses in the safeguarding field, specialising in the interviewing of children, the assessment, and investigative approach within CP. Basic Training, Advanced Level CP, training for 'Designated staff for Safeguarding, Assessment Skills, Section 47 training and Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) training for professionals. I have designed specific learning and development programs for clients in handling Child Protection referrals and disclosures always offer ongoing e-support for all delegates to support their continued professional development.I train extensively abroad. I have been to over 50 countries training and consulting in over 475 International Schools. I have vast knowledge in this area, and assist schools in Safeguarding and also governance.
