I began my healthcare career in 2001 and have worked my way up from a ground level position to an advanced practice AGPCNP-BC, MSN, RN. My motivation is and has always been driven by my love for people (especially the elderly) and the obvious need for compassionate, competent, comprehensive care. The majority of my work experience has been in long term care as a nurse manager with concomitant experience in behavioral health, education, and long term acute care. As a APRN, I am committed to developing partnerships among patients, their families, fellow healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. I value efficient, effective, quality patient care. My nursing goals are to provide and coordinate patient centered care, ranging from prevention and health promotion, to disease management, and end of life palliative care. I believe my experiences, leadership abilities, advanced education, and utilization of evidenced based practice research ensures improve health outcomes and encourages a culture of safety and excellence. My nursing practice philosophy is based on Joanne Duffy’s Quality Caring model; therefore, providing compassionate, competent, and comprehensive patient care is my ultimate mission.
