Senior Cad Designer
As one of two Engineering Designers, I was responsible for the oversight of CAD and resulting technical development of plans and specifications for multiple projects varying in scope, complexity, and duration. Acting as a second to the engineers of the organization, and responsible for any required facets of site development; field data acquisition, initial planning and preliminary site development and layout, engineering calculations, water and wastewater resources, development of roadway corridors, grading and topography, site design, access availability, and infrastructure improvements. Additional duties entail electronic data management, coordination with other disciplines and outside consultants for the project, maintenance of CAD standards, and training of employees in CAD software, engineering, technical procedures and acting as a mentor.
Managing Partner
Managing the day to day operations of Lamm Engineering Associates PLLC, required the talent and experience to balance client needs, with project demands, with business development, with company growth. From marketing, to project inception, to planning, budgeting, building milestones, contract negotiations, plan development and production, to bidding, construction, payments, asbuilts and closeout, I have touched every aspect of a project, and I am aware of the challenge each step of the process requires. The company specialized in the design of ‘space’- that is, the sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, parking lots, softball fields, walking paths, and recreational facilities which everyone uses in their daily lives. Of course, this includes the utilities hidden beneath this space, such as water, sewer, stormwater, steam, chilled water, gas and other conveyances. To find these utilities in the space beneath our feet we provide the technology of Subsurface Utility Engineering, or SUE.With this knowledge and experience, my skillset is a boon to the right organization.
