Duties include all management support tasks such as ensuring the safety of the premises, staff and customers, housekeeping, stock management, rotas, and all forms of till work and cash handling including end of day/week procedures and banking. Handling and processing sensitive information, and analysing sales, donations and gift aid figures to meet targets, and training, instructing and motivating volunteers.

I had responsibility for serving customers, operating tills, processing cash and card payments and keeping rails and displays well stocked. I also trained new members of staff to follow company procedures and ensured they were competent when undertaking their duties. I enjoyed having additional responsibilities and found I was well suited to the working environment.
