Programmes Director
Robin set up Searchlighter towards the end of 2008. Apart from being the Director, Robin works at Searchlighter chiefly on monitoring and evaluation in the context of project implementation on behalf of the beneficiaries. The work takes place in a collaborative and international context, broadly focusing on social cohesion, cultural innovation, economic development and fundamental rights. Since December 2012, Robin has been leading the Monitoring and Evaluation process in IOR, a project looking to address issues faced by young people between 10–17 years so that young people can engage with social media in safety and choose to engage for positive rather than negative social development. In 2013, Robin will also be leading Searchlighter's work as the UK Partner in a project funded by the Human Resources Development Operational Programme in Bulgaria. This will support the Bulgarian Government in learning good practice and effective policy concerning labour-market access for disadvantaged groups and securing their future employment.Robin recently led the work package covering Monitoring and Evaluation in RENOVA, a two-year Transfer of Innovation project to enhance training facilities that enable experienced nursing staff to acquire skills and qualifications for their professional development into health management. This project was carried out according to labour market needs as set out in the ‘New Skills for New Jobs’ directive, and Robin monitored its capacity to deliver on this European policy.Past work has also included a project for the Research Information Network (RIN), founded on stakeholders in scholarly communications reflecting on and adhering to a set of common principles set out in a report published by RIN in 2007.
Education And Training Officer
Robin oversees the implementation of the education and training strategy for the network of volunteers throughout the South West.
