History of leading transformative initiatives to elevate the academic and research capabilities of both institutions.Chair of the West Virginia Association of Regional Colleges and Universities from 2013 to 2015 and the West Virginia Council of Presidents from 2011 to 2014, where collaboratively with peers we addressed the unique challenges facing regional institutions and advocated for policies that promote equitable access to higher education across the state.As Legislative Liaison for the West Virginia Council of Presidents from 2007 to 2015, actively engaged in shaping higher education policy and advocating for the needs of our institutions at the state level, contributing to the advancement of critical initiatives that have had a lasting impact on the higher education landscape in West Virginia.Member of the President's Trust of the American Association of Colleges and Universities and the NCAA Division II President’s Council and Committee on Budget and Planning from 2012 to 2015, where actively contributed to the advancement of higher education on a national scale, collaborating with peers to address key issues and shape the future of collegiate athletics and academic leadership.Academic journey began at West Virginia University; graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude; inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
