About Robin Caroff

I have specialized since 2010 in the design, development and production of native Android mobile applications (Kotlin and Java) as well as iOS (Swift and Objective-C) in France and abroad. I also have solid skills in web service and back office design allowing me to respond to the various problems encountered on mobile application projects. Simplicity, efficiency and stability are my objectives and motivations for the conduct of my projects. I am convinced of the capacity of digital technologies to improve the productivity of small and large companies. Currently working at Resonantes as the Technical Lead for the mobile application App-Elles. I am the founder and host of the Android Nantes Meetup (GDG Nantes Android), the Nantes event for Android experts in Nantes, an event that was officially recognized and labeled "Google Developer Group" by Google in 2018. Former founder of the mobile development agency Toki. My references include major companies like La Poste, Hermes, L'Oréal or Bayer but also startups or small businesses like Augment, Speachme, Velco and associations like Resonantes (App-Elles) or the association DAPSA (Paris).

    The main objective of this internship was to design and program an image recognition system that will be implemented on mobile phones, operating with a local database which is faster than cloud-computing systems already existing. However, this problematic showed some limitations of the software developed by Total Immersion, which was unable to recognize low textured objects such as simple logos. As part of my internship TOTAL IMMERSION offered me to develop a recognition system for low-textured objects.This internship allowed me to discovering the field of research but also to apply and enhance my knowledge in C/C++ programing and Image Processing.
