While transitioning from the Army, I have been researching both employment and business opportunities so that I may be prepared for life after the Army. I have started classes at University of New Orleans working towards and MBA with a concentration in Finance. I am keeping my financial skills sharp by serving on the Finance Committee at my Church. I advise on payroll matters and help with the budget process.

Analyzed readiness and operational indicators of over 600 Army units. Provided nomination of units to USARC and FORSCOM to fulfill Combatant Commanders request for units in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other operational areas. Provided notification of sourcing to senior commands and tracked unit readiness throughout the mobilization cycle.

Began working as an Independent Designing Consultant with Home Interiors and Gifts; remained through the merger in 2008 of Home Interiors and Gifts with Home and Garden Party that created Celebrating Home.As a designer consultant, I manage all aspects of a home based business from marketing and sales to bookkeeping. I present product shows at my hostesses' homes as well as online sales. I coordinate fundraisers for organizations such as schools and charitable organizations. I work with the agency or PTA to present the product line and continue support throughout fundraising period.I have sponsored new people in the business and assisted them with start-up, training and ongoing support.

Supported all Army Reserve and National Guard units at FT Bragg for final training and evaluation prior to deployment for combat or other operations.Primary responsibility was to provide for all logistical support to the training units. This included all equipment needed for training events and any final equipment requests that units required for use in their overseas deployment.
