As a Partner in the Cincinnati Office of Baker Hostetler for close to 15 years, I led the Cincinnati Litigation Group and was personally responsible for major clients of the office, handling their business litigation including regulatory challenges, securities, corporate and contract cases, as well as the defense of employment cases and mass product liabililty actions.I served on the national trial teams of several manufacturing clients and was the national coordinating trial counsel for the product safety and product liability litigation for an auto and industrial products client. I had several opportunities to fill in as chief legal officer for clients who had temporary needs or who were in the process of developing compliance departments. In those assignments I served as the initial compliance officer, advised on the design of the needed department and helped hire the initial legal leadership.
