As an intern for Martha Stewart book division, I worked with two editors on five different books: Martha Stewart's Pressure Cooker, Martha Stewart Grilling, Martha Stewart's Cookies, Martha Stewart: How to do Everything, and Martha Stewart: Organize your Life. My work included proofing e-book editions, copy editing and organizing editorial content for future books. Our team worked directly with Martha Stewart for her input and her creative decisions. For Cookies, I created a photography board and presented it to the publishers and art directors. I also created the editorial binder for the use of the editorial, creative and kitchen teams. I offered editorial input and research for the craft section of How to do Everything, and I organized over 20 years of Martha Stewart's calendars for Organize your Life.

Due to my work as managing editor of The Asbury Collegian and the Year-in-Review that the team published, student development asked the Collegian to merge with and lead the publication of the Asburian, the university's yearbook. As executive editor of student publications, I oversaw two teams. One published the bi-weekly Collegian and the other ran the yearbook. My responsibilities included working with administration and student development, hiring and training new staff, editing the paper and overseeing all operations.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

As managing editor, I organized weekly meetings with the section editors, edited articles, worked with the faculty advisor and executive editor, oversaw the graphic design and layout team, proofread final layouts and distributed the paper.

As the intern at the Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau, I saw many aspects of the tourism industry. I worked on several projects, from performing an audit of the partner user group to programming and distributing digital screens to be placed in the area hotels to promote tourism in Paducah. I created social media content and wrote press releases for city events. Additionally, the CVB was in the midst of preparing for the Fall AQS Quilt Show and the solar eclipse, as the city was in the path of totality. I was part of planning and promoting these events which attract thousands of visitors from across the world.

Chattanooga, Tennessee

As a summer intern, I worked with the Director of Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator to write press releases and blog posts. I photographed events and was interviewed on live TV and radio. I was in charge of a new holiday program called 'The 12 Days of Giving' that involved interviewing those helped by The Salvation Army's programs and designing tags that featured these stories.
