I managed the DoubleClick backend team which provides aggregated data for reporting, processing over 3TB of compressed log data daily. DoubleClick provides digital marketing technology and services to 1000s of marketers, publishers and advertising agencies and serves 30+ billion advertisements per day across the Internet. Led 13 engineers and testers in porting legacy software and reducing costs by over $5 Million in hardware and licenses. Phased implementation to migrate to the Google stack. Led team that developed "DGFTS", an internal service that transfers files between DoubleClick and Google production data centers; launched December 2008 as 2nd post-acquisition integration project. Developed and launched “GEPS” in February 2009. The system copies data from DoubleClick to Google, performs aggregations compatible with legacy EPS, copies results back and loads into existing DoubleClick Oracle databases for customer use. Led Data Transfer project which completed on schedule and under budget. Hands-on work: designed, developed, and implemented 3 Python programs and 9 production bash scripts. Led 9 engineers and testers to launch User Based Reporting release 9.0 in Sept 2008 with 2 major features (cookie correction and merged cookie) and 150% performance improvement. Ensured the systems can handle the daily processing load, as volume grew from 16 billion to 25 billion ads per day, with hardware changes, software performance improvements, and porting. Met daily customer SLAs to publish 50 reports daily by 9AM, aggregating over 25 billion events. Before the acquisition, led backend team of two managers and 20 engineers.

Features in this release include Intermarket Trading System automation, Discretionary and Pegged eQuotes, Sweeps, and Liquidity Replenishment Points; Display Book (DBK) is a real-time trading engine software system that processes 1.8 billion shares of stock transactions dailyLed team of 14 development testers for Display Book and NYSE TradeWorks (Unix / Java), for 15 major feature releases, development integration and system testing based on UML and Use Cases. Led development team that ported 550,000 lines of Display Book source code from HP-UX to Linux.
