I started my career working for the same company for 16 years even though the name of the company changed during that time period. Originally, the company was Delco Products (a division of General Motors). Later, the company was sold to ITT Automotive and then finally to Valeo Electrical Systems. I relocated with Valeo from Rochester, NY to Hamilton, OH to accept a promotion to Plant Director at Valeo Climate Control.Highly accomplished Plant Director with experience in lean manufacturing with P&L responsibility. Experience in the automotive industry as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier in both union and non-union environments. Also, experience in the consumer goods industry. Strong passion for manufacturing and driving continuous improvement through the use of lean tools. Results-oriented manager with a proven track record of improving plant operational efficiency. Recognized as a change agent by having managed numerous product, process, and quality changes.One of my strengths is in building strong teams, implementing continuous improvement systems, fostering a continuous improvement mindset (typically requires a culture change), involving the subject matter experts, and delivering results. I later worked for Evenflo as the Plant Manager. At this location, the plant manufactures car seats and ExerSaucers. One of the things that I am most proud of is being able to turnaround the plant from being uncompetitive to competitive. I utilized lean manufacturing tools to drive continuous improvement at this location in order to make the plant competitive. As a result, we were able to bring business back from China (see the Publication Section of my profile to see a video about Made in the USA)!I am starting my next challenge as the Plant Manager at D&W Fine Pack in Fountain Inn, SC.
