In concert with Engineering and Product Marketing staff, directed and managed the design, development, delivery and support of Network Management Applications for Service Provider Networks. Primary customers in this arena included major telephony service providers throughout the world, deploying VoIP-based networks on very aggressive schedules and with exacting requirements for application functionality, reliability and time-to-market.

Directed and managed a Program Management staff, each of whom had accountability for project leadership across all aspects of the business. Projects owned by the team under my direction encompassed software and hardware messaging systems and features, business operations re-engineering, and internet messaging and call center applications, among others.

Directed, managed, and was jointly accountable for the successful development and delivery of the Intuity* Multimedia Messaging product. Project scope involved over 140 individuals on the project team in several locations, including a development lab in India, and a multi-million dollar project budget.

Directed and managed extended team and development deliverables for the Intuity* Multimedia Messaging Product. Developed, maintained, and, in concert with Core Management Team, was responsible for Master Project Schedule and adherence to all Project-Level delivery and quality commitments. Developed and maintained comprehensive project plan, tracking, risk and status material for all Intuity Releases. Served as primary liaison to all functional teams with responsibilities for project deliverables.

Directed team members in developing and implementing domestic and international product trial and introduction programs for all Lucent/AT&T Multimedia Messaging products. Responsibilities included contract negotiation for external product introduction sites through Lucent/AT&T account teams, conducting customer presentation and training sessions, coordinating logistical and readiness issues by product and geographical region, and ensuring complete assessments of product and process quality during the product introduction interval.

Sites at which I worked over a 12-year period included Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain, and Great Smoky Mountain National Parks, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Lava Beds National Monument, Big Thicket National Preserve, and Chickamauga/Chattanooga National Military Park.
