As part of the advisory board, I helped organize partner events and supported bringing in investors, sponsors, and startups. Slush is the premier event for European and Asian tech companies to connect with top executives, investors, and media globally. Held every fall in wintery Scandinavia, it attracts 25,000 attendees, including 3,500 startups, 2,000 investors, and 250 speakers.

Axel Springer Plug & Play, founded with Plug & Play Inc. in 2013, has made 100 initial investments, including Studysmarter, N26, Careship, Nyris, and Zizoo. We provide outstanding founders, building startups with digital business models, an experienced initial investor and long-term partner for their journey to exit.

I reported directly to the CTO of Axel Springer and the CEO of Venture Capital Investments. We selectively invest in disruptive business models focused on classified ad portals, marketplaces, and media. Notable examples include AirBnB (IPO 2020), Anzu, Dott, Nextdoor, Qwant, UBER (IPO 2019), Wunderflats, and Zenhomes (exit 2021). We also invest in renowned venture capital funds like Project A, FJ Labs, Lakestar, and Remagine Ventures.
