I lead The Athena Advisors, an international consulting firm. Dividing my time between Washington, D.C. and London, I pave the way for high-performing global and US nonprofit organizations to achieve their missions, particularly in the sectors of human rights, transparency and accountability, environmental justice, and children's issues. Building on experience at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, I have gone on to help raise more than $100 million at such top-branded organizations as Big Brothers Big Sisters (national office), Children's Defense Fund, the Center for Public Integrity, and Rare. Now, my firm helps organizations have the resources they need to thrive, whether through board development, fundraising counsel, or prospect research. My passion always is to drive social change through philanthropy, by marshaling resources from individuals, foundations, and corporations who care about great missions. Specialties: Philanthropy without borders. Creating meaningful ties with major donors, foundations, and corporations to deepen their investments in great organizations. Engaging board members to be proudly involved with outstanding work. Strategic planning. Collaboration within complex organizations. And, when required, crisis management.
