Served as the clinical executive responsible for clinical quality performance for all Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics in GA, AL and SC - totaling over 40 medical facilities. In this role I was responsible for ensure readiness for all external accreditation reviews such as The Joint Commission. I was also responsible for ensure the highest quality of care as determined by VA national performance measures. In this capacity, I had oversight of all Senior Management Performance Plans- leading the annual evaluation of plan metrics and performance. I also served as trouble shooters often working directly with VA Central Office, external reviews such as Office of the Inspector General, Office of Medical Inspector and various Congressional Officers to determine compliance, performance and outcomes.

I served as the Maryland Nonprofits' first Director of Consulting and Contract Training. In this role, I was responsible for fully developing and establishing the consulting practice. This required close communication with funders, recruitment of, and partnership with external consultants. Importantly, the design and provision of consulting services and training to nonprofit clients. Throughout this role, I worked with a diverse array of nonprofits providing executive transitions consulting, retreat facilitation, organizational assessments using The Standards of Excellence in Nonprofit Management. I served as a training for the Associations training department and also developed customized training for clients.

VA Maryland Health Care System - served in numerous clinical roles providing direct mental health services to Veterans. I have experience in acute inpatient mental health treatment, outpatient addictions, primary care mental health, chronic long term mental health and outpatient mental health. I also served as outpatient mental health program manager and Assistant Chief Psychology. During this tenure I held the position of Associate Professor of Psychiatry and was an supervisor for the APA approved Psychology Internship program and University of Maryland Psychiatry Residents.
