LYL provides free educational & activism programs as well as leadership coaching & mentoring to young people to supplement students' existing school & youth development. Executes a portfolio of community-based events, with accountability for significant income targets, as well as event-related mission and advocacy activities. Ensures goal achievement through the effective leadership, engagement, empowerment and mobilization of event volunteers.Accountable for the achievement of income performance targets for a portfolio of community-based events which may include: Relay For Life, Real Men Wear Pink, Schools Vs. Cancer, Coaches Vs. AIDS/LifeCycle is a highly successful fundraising campaign in its 16th year of operation. In 2018 the event generated more than $16.6 million for its beneficiary organizations. The program spans a full year of participant events, community engagement, communications, marketing, and fundraising, culminating in 2500 cyclists riding 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles over 7 days.Responsible for communication and fundraising activities of 380 cyclists through a year-long process.Managed CRM (Salesforce/Blackbaud) activity tracking email, phone and event communications to participants and progress toward event goals.Developed email, social media and phone campaigns targeting different participant segments to ensure ongoing event commitment and progress toward fundraising objectives.Reported progress and portfolio updates to management on participant activity and plans to drive cyclist retention and fundraising.Created copy and content for newsletters, event promotion, website, and marketing campaigns.Addressed individual participant needs ranging from logistics questions to coaching on building their personal campaigns to achieve event participation requirements.Project management of original events, creating “Seven Days of Sweat”, a virtual fundraising event overseeing the creation and implementation of all marketing materials.
