I am a geologist, specialising in raw materials and mineral deposits. In my current role, I am focused on quality testing of aggregates for use in the construction industry. In this role I manage small teams and ensure a consistent workflow in order to ensure that results are delivered to customers satisfactorily and on time. I am also responsible for ensuring that our tests are being conducted to the highest possible standard and that all laboratory equipment is functioning correctly. In 2016, I competed a Ph.D focusing on the geological history and mineral resources of the Nalunaq gold deposit in south Greenland. In this role, I developed my competencies in independent research, microscopy and field mapping. I also assisted in running a field course in South Greenland. My findings from this project have been published in several well respected journals. Please contact me to request a copy.

Research AssistantElpletec Aug 2016 - Sep 2016University Of CopenhagenI assisted with a short project that utilised XRD analysis from tailing samples taken from artisanal gold sites in Nicaragua. The project aimed to identify mineralogical and geochemical reasons for the observed discrepancy in mercury and gold recovery in reprocessed tailings. I described my findings in a short report which also included recommendations for areas of further research.

Ph.D. StudentGeus Sep 2012 - Nov 2015Geololgical Survey Of Denmark And Greenland And The University Of CopenhagenThis project focused on the mineralisation and hydrothermal alteration at Nalunaq, using a combination of fieldwork, 3-D implicit modelling and stable isotope investigation. The project highlighted a multi-stage hydrothermal alteration system at Nalunaq which can be linked to the development of the Ketilidian orogen. Key tasks included:• Sampling and mapping projects in South Greenland • Preparation of samples for analysis, including, thin section mapping, mineral picking, zircon washing and extracting minerals using a micro-drill • Operating LA ICP-MS, Electron Microprobe and Sensitive High-Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP II) • Constructing a detailed 3D model of Nalunaq gold mine using the geomodelling programme Leapfrog • Attending conferences and workshops nationally and internationally • Writing scientific articles for peer review• Assisting in the planning and execution of a conference trip to South Greenland where I helped with transport logistics, gave onsite tours and prepared reading material• Acted as a consultant on behalf of GEUS to companies with a commercial interest in Nalunaq -
