After over thirty-five years working as an architect in the construction industry, followed by four years living and working in Brittany, I am now semi-retired and living in Northern Ireland. Of those 35 years, the last twenty-two were spent running my own practice, namely McCaren Architecture. However, in December 2013, I handed over the reins of the practice to Andy Paterson and Hilary Kolinsky who will effectively carry on where I left off. I have total confidence that they will provide the same level of professional service which I have always endeavoured to offer to all of our Clients.Although semi-retired, I will continue to act as an Access Consultant for the practice. While this service can often be done remotely "off plan" using drawings and other information sent to enable me to carry out access assessments and strategies, I am equally happy to travel throughout the UK and Ireland to carry out on site access audits of individual or groups of buildings. I am also happy to take on small-scale architectural commissions.I am now looking forward to providing friends and family from both the UK and France the opportunity to see the many things that Northern Ireland has to offer.
