Sun Auto is a Private Equity-backed consolidator and operator of auto service centers and tire dealers. During my tenure, company grew from 180 to 382 stores ($220 to $544 million in sales) through 20 acquisitions and organic growth. • Built, managed, and coached a team of 13 General Ledger Accountants, who varied from fully in-office, hybrid to fully remote. Used triweekly Teams meetings to unite staff and manage month end close. • Produced 382+ Profit & Loss statements monthly, which were all important as they were used to determine store manager bonuses.• Hosted monthly meetings to present financials to CEO, CFO, Regional Vice Presidents, and District Managers to review P&Ls and to get business updates.• Integrated accounting processes from 20 acquisitions into GB Auto’s Great Plains instance.

BioCareSD is a distributor of specialty pharmaceuticals for the treatment of hemophilia, ALS and other rare diseases. A wholly owned subsidiary of Vitalant, BioCareSD sales grew from $534 million in 2018 to $800 million in 2020.• Oversaw staff of three in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger accounting. • Closed books in 5 days working with the accounting team at Vitalant to coordinate processes and intercompany transactions. Reviewed and approved Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations.• Managed vendor rebate process and reconciled related accounts.• Played key role in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. Designed Charts of Accounts.

Managed a staff of 10 accounting professionals to complete month end close in 4.5 days. Interfaced with Hearst teams on intercompany transactions, corporate reporting, and shared services management. Worked with iCrossing accounting teams in the UK, Germany and Chile to manage intercompany revenue and expenses. Consolidated results of international operations and managed foreign currency adjustments. Interacted with executives and project managers in various disciplines to ensure smooth financial operations and provide pertinent financial data. • Implemented NetSuite [SaaS] system, including designing Chart of Accounts and converting historical data. Designed new internal controls based on the new processes in NetSuite.• Improved reliability of revenue recognition from contracts with clients through the implementation of the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Recognition model while maintaining strong external spreadsheet reporting. • Oversaw the process of conversion of complex historical excel spreadsheets used to manage deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, media accruals into NetSuite based functionality.• Managed team interaction with both internal and external auditors. Maintained compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Reporting to the CFO, coached a 7-person team responsible for general accounting, month end close, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Billing and Collections. Was responsible for creating and implementing all new financial systems, processes and policies, made necessary when SheKnows became a separate entity. Built the accounting team from scratch. Worked closely with Advertising Operations to improve billing and revenue data.• Implemented NetSuite [SaaS] system in 60 days, including designing the Chart of Accounts and converting historical data from Great Plains.• Facilitated the acquisitions of StyleCaster and BlogHer within four months in 2014, including converting their accounting systems to NetSuite. Consolidated their existing staffs from 7.5 FTEs to 1.5 FTEs.• Managed cash position, which requires weekly cash forecasting and monthly covenant management related to $13 million asset based revolver.
