I am a proactive and forward thinking PhD researcher with both academic and industry experience who has the raw skills to branch into medical/research sales. I completed numerous team and individual projects, managing high workload pressure with minimal supervision to meet tight project deadlines. I have presented numerous talks on my projects and can confidently communicate scientific ideas to diverse audiences, demonstrated by winning the 1st place award for oral presentation at a postgraduate conference across 11 schools and 250 students (runner up the year after). I can build strong relationships with professionals at the highest levels, demonstrated by working closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and wider surgical team within the NHS who provided the human tissue for my PhD. Negotiating what tissue could be used and discussing the surgical procedures and my project at length provided me with a greater understanding of the clinical impact of my research. Our professional relationship culminated in the preparation of a publication transcript as part of a collaborative effort. My MSc and more recent PhD studies enabled me to develop excellent organisation skills that allow me to work independently with minimum external support. I am quick to adapt to change through working in a high-throughput service laboratory, working to short turnaround times and high workload pressures to produce paternity reports to the courts and solicitors. I also worked for a well-known forensic provider where I developed a keen eye for detail and working to strict control measures and ISO regulatory standards.
Listed skills include Dna, Qpcr, Molecular Biology, Pcr, and 32 others.
