Lately.....Loving working with great people as an investor, mentor, CPO and Chair in roles split between Scotland, the USA and Australia. All the fun of running a business, with the focus always on developing leaders. A privilege and honour to do all that I can to impact others positively, and help.Oversee our Commercial Property firm, MOSCAR, with fun and vibrant spaces through East Lothian. Great seeing our tenants grow and thrive as they build their people, and help a variety of missions locally. We have 26 Office Suites that we look after now, and continue to grow.Caddy for elite amateur golfers, primarily my sons. We've celebrated historic wins, such as the youngest victory at the Scottish Men's Golf Amateur Championship and the first British triumphs at the Abu Dhabi Amateur and the Sunshine State Am. Caddying is great fun, humbling & servant leadership at its best. My favourite ever role.Also trying to work on my own game, which needs it!Previously.....Started at 13 as a divot boy at the local golf club, then cleaning changing rooms and cutting oranges at our local rugby club, then at university I worked in a bar to pay for my expenses at the University of Edinburgh. At Edinburgh I shattered my leg playing rugby and that was pivotal. I was unable to go on the 1st XV rugby tour to South America, and so I sought a role in business, to gain experience. I saw an advert for a company in America and went to work in their "internship" for 3 months, selling books. The school of hard knocks - 80-100 hours per week, pay all your own expenses, make 300 calls per week, and straight commission. 18 years later in 2005, having worked through the business, I became President of International and looked after several global operations, P&Ls and 550 people across all functions. It was fun, incredible hard work and was I mentored by a wonderful rags to riches billionaire, called Spencer Hays. I was solely focused on this business, and we expanded rapidly.There was a change of CEO in the business in 2007, and a change in ethos as well. In 2008, my wife and I set up a telecoms business, called 9dots Consulting, and in 2012 a Commercial Property business called MOSCAR, in the UK. We had always educated our boys in the UK, and in 2014, after 23 years, 400 transatlantic flights, and some fantastic memories, we parted ways with the US firm. From a standing start, through strategic alliances with trade associations and partners, we built the B2B telecoms business to a turnover of £20M/yr and exited in June 24, when I retired for about 3 days…..

    Caddy for elite amateur golfers, specifically (not exclusively) for my sons, Sam, Ollie and CJ. Caddied Ollie when he became the youngest ever (aged 16) winner of the Scottish Golf Amateur Championship at Glasgow Gailes in the 100th year of the event being played in 2022. Caddied Sam when he became the first British winner of the Abu Dhabi Amateur played at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in December 2023. Caddied Cameron when he won the USKids UAE championship in 2021. Other experience includes caddying on The Asian Tour, The Alps Tour, Open Final Qualifying and at The Amateur Championship (Strokeplay & Matchplay) 3 times. Strengths are judging the elements for yardages, motivation, fun and nutrition/hydration. They hit all the shots, which is the hard part. Keeps me fit, grateful and active. Have caddied across Europe, The USA, The Middle East, Asia and Australia.
