ABOUT COOK FOR GOODWe are a not-for-profit social business aimed at connecting people & enhancing lives through food and cooking. We fund a community programme of cooking classes, community meals and a surplus food pantry through profits from corporate team building events. Our team cooking events have social purpose, with teams cooking to benefit people who need support. During Covid we moved all business online and ran engaging hands-on Zoom cooking events, and now we are back in actual kitchens, running in-person team events again. We are almost ready to open a brand new state-of-the art kitchen in the heart of a community on a Peabody housing estate in Kings Cross (until then we are delivering our corpoaret events in partner kitchens in London). We aim to support the local community by connecting businesses with people who live in the neighborhood in which they operate. After relocating to the UK from South Africa in 2000, I set up a culinary corporate events and team building company, Food@Work. We used the commercial kitchen, cooking and sharing food to deliver business value for team building, leadership/management learning & development (L&D) & networking/client entertainment. With my team of chefs and learning consultants we delivered 1000’s of events to blue chip and public sector clients. My knowledge & experience of team development and how to build business relationships is extensive, having worked for 18 years with teams across all sectors, and at all levels. I am an experienced facilitator of live and online events (I have have run over 100 virtual cooking events for clients and private groups during Covid)Now, through Cook for Good, I'm extending my experience, skills, knowledge and passion in food and cooking with corporate teams to help people who are in need, vulnerable or homeless.
