Rob Innes is a producer, writer and documentary director that works across television, online and film content. He works with production companies, collaborates with creatives, and has his own development company to create original work. He is currently taking part in Screen Australia's Enterprise Program after being selected for a residency at Arrow Media in the UK.In 2022 he was the series director of the ABC 3-part series Magda’s Big National Health Check for Southern Pictures. He has produced and directed original 4-part ABC TV documentary series Housemates, produced the award-winning series Phenomena for ABC online which was named as one of the best Australian programs of 2021 by The Guardian and won the Special Jury Prize at the Scinema Science Film Festival 2021; produced and directed documentary series Youth on Strike! for Junkee Media which won the MDFF Best Documentary Webseries Award 2020 and was nominated for both a SPA and ADG Award; and produced comedy series What Could Go Wrong? for ABC iview. He has also produced animated short film Bright Lights for The Guardian, and recently produced Unerased, a vertical Instagram series with nine transgender young people and emerging director AP Pobjoy. Rob has been a producer on four seasons of the ABC TV series The Weekly with Charlie Pickering for Thinkative Television, Network Ten’s The Project as a features producer, and a story producer with Princess Pictures on the documentary series My Year 12 Life for ABC ME.
