As the Human Resources Assistant I implemented HR best practices for a company that did not have an HR Department. I created the foundation of HR practices for the company to build upon in the future. My duties and tasks included but are not limited to:- Performing a company wide job analysis using the O*NET Content Model, in order to create and update all company job descriptions, recruitment interview scripts, exit interview scripts and performance appraisal forms. - Preparing and filing all pertinent documentation involving the recruitment process, in order to short-list resumes for future openings. - Conducting first round recruitment interviews for various positions, using behavioral and situational questions, in order for management to select a qualified candidate.- Creating an AEO Security Policy manual, using new Jamaican customs legislation, in order for the company to obtain AEO customs status.- Training management on human resources best practices in the areas of recruitment, progressive discipline, and performance appraisals in order to decrease company turnover and increase company morale.

I provide services in support of School of Business, Human Resource program activities with industry partners, program students, HR@NC student membership, internal resources, external supplier and faculty as they pertain to such activities as human resources program responsibilities including development of orientation and training materials, program manuals, coordination, special projects and record management.

As the Curriculum Coordinator I was responsible for many independent projects such as and not limited to:- Development of the program's curriculum in accordance to the current Health and Physical Education curriculum documents for instructor use.- Preparation of administrative documents such as: reference letter, feedback forms, and confidential parent information, using Microsoft Word an Microsoft Excel.- The implementation of recruitment strategies prior to program start, which increased applicant pool by 30%.- Assisting administrative staff in order to generate offer letter to successful candidates.- Developing training and orientation for both staff and volunteers.- Delivering training and orientation for both staff and volunteers.
