About Robin Quint

My husband John and I were introduced to Indigo dyeing in 1995 when our friends, Sharon Kilfoyle and the late Peter Noce asked us to help them at Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis. We fell in love with the beautiful blues created by this unique dyeing process and have been working with Indigo ever since. Demonstrating Indigo Dyeing and Shibori techniques is a yearly event that we participate in at The Japanese Festival over Labor Day Weekend at the Missouri. Botanical Gardens.We have taught private classes in Indigo Dyeing and Shibori techniques in Mountain View, AR and Hollywood, MD, as well as locally.We are exploring working with other natural dyes, procion dyes, and have created a special line of T-shirts known as "Cave Art" through use of a discharging process.Specialties: Indigo DyeingCreating Wearable Art

    Worked surgical and orthopedic floor for 1 1/2 years. Was asked to cross-train to OB to cover a co-workers maternity leave and when she returned part-time, I stayed on in OB. I loved working Labor and Delivery, and Post-partum with a wonderful group of Doctors and co-workers. I watched this small hospital grow to a regional center. At the time I left we had a state of the art LDRP set up in which Mothers labored, delivered, recovered and stayed in the same room for their post-partum care. My experiences at Cambridge are the "gold standard" to which my other career experiences have been compared to and I must say I was truly priveledged to work with the Dr's and nurses there!
