Define and implement path for reliability improvement of existing View product as well as qualification of new product revisions through development of accelerated testing methods, implementation of existing standards and industry best practices, and thorough analysis of field failures. Achievements to date include:- Reduced rate of top field failure mode by 6x while simultaneously improving factory throughput- Significantly improved integrated glass unit (IGU) seal integrity and lead attach reliability- Determined root cause of glass breakage field failures, and identified supplier and production contributions towards the issue- Informed development and led reliability qualification of R&D deposition processes, enabling implementation on the production line.

Headed team focused on defect reduction on the pilot line, and leveraged learning to define and implement process and metrology requirements for View’s first factory- Enabled defect density reduction by further >10x through deposition hardware optimization, product design changes, and film process development. Path defined by systematic defect analysis and determination of defect formation mechanisms.- Defined process requirements, defined process quality tests, sourced suppliers, and defined & executed SAT and FAT for factory glass cleaning equipment- Led development of engineering process development tools into production compatible metrology systems capable of detection and mitigation of latent film defects- Assisted in factory start up, driving initial clean process development and control, and leading defect reduction efforts

- Enabled scale up from 2”x2” to 30”x30” windows and process transfer between fabrication lines through DOE driven deposition process development and materials characterization - >10x defect density reduction though internal and external glass cleaning hardware changes, defect analysis, process optimization, and equipment maintenance procedures- Developed metrology methods for low intensity defect detection, and defined defect related quality specifications

 Responsible for process and clean development on NVLS HDP-CVD products, including gapfill and throughput improvement, customer demos, and defect reduction, as well as troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware related issues. Sucessfully led multiple tool startups at customer sites and resolved process-related customer escalations. Developed programs, analysis templates, DOE models, and documented procedures related to process development and parts cleaning and packaging, a portion of which have been officially published by NVLS.
