Director
With this role I have been involved in decisions across the whole company and worked on projects such as new building designs, and financial management with the Company Accountants.Remaining in charge of the Clinical Trials Division I have further specialized staff roles, provided external training, and built a dedicated team of 15 people who work well together to achieve our company goals and objectives. New personnel hired into key positions are helping towards reducing the Division’s day-to-day reliance on my input, enabling me to work more strategically and to work with relevant agencies to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations. I am also able to travel around the world to represent the brand and the values of the Company. My personal motivations towards improving staff satisfaction and my ability to motivate a workforce has made it possible for this team to work well beyond the sum of their parts and to represent Woodley excellently across the global.I have recently sourced, customized and implemented a new software package which allows us to unify our CRM, quotation, sales management, equipment tracking, and invoicing software into one. This system allows greater flexibility, provides increased accuracy and speed, and automatic reporting. It will also allow us to better integrate with the US distribution and any future sales team.To date contracts, revenues, and profit margins are all continuing to increase.
Manager, Clinical Trials Division
As the Clinical Trials Divisional Manager I was responsible for all aspects of management, including but not limited to: HR; contract negotiations; planning and forecasting; strategic direction; invoicing; KPI development; and . I lead an initial small team of staff, which I tripled over time. By reworking our marketing spends I was able to lower its cost, increase its effectiveness and reach more people in a more meaningful way. I used this extra money to bring in a Business Development manager and develop a system of Sales Management using existing infrastructure. I found further cost savings in improving efficiency and renegotiated supplier pricing, which coupled with our increasing revenue meant more profit. I used this profit to hire new staff to key posts, such as logistics, which in turn enabled me to refocus the Customer Service Representative roles into Account Manager positions. This further accelerated growth. Annual revenue quadrupled during this time.
