It all comes back to “Hello”.I work with small businesses and professional firms to streamline their policies and procedures related to onboarding new clients, strengthen communication with current and potential clients, and improve the overall customer experience, leading to better client retention and increased revenues.

I coach small business owners as they grow their businesses by improving their internal systems and internal and external communications.

I advised small business owner clients of the Barney School of Business Entrepreneurial Center & Women’s Business Center at the University of Hartford on marketing and communications strategies, tools, and implementations to support their business goals. This work was very rewarding, and I hope another university or other organization can replicate this now-defunct program.

Built and maintained relationships with a multi-industry network of professionals for new business development. Researched and vetted potential referral partners, attended industry, networking, and chamber meetings throughout the state to identify potential new contacts. Planned and executed exclusive events to introduce referral partners to firm principals and each other.

Managed a variety of responsibilities for growing Hartford-based law firm, including firm operations, documenting policies and procedures, client services, tech, marketing, promotion, and social media/content. Built and maintained relationships with potential new clients as they took their first steps to their new future. As the firm grew and added a New Haven County office, the operations responsibilities were split into new positions in the firm.

Managed social media, promotion and supporting technology as well as on-site production, event logistics, and sponsor fulfillment for national B2B consumer marketing conferences. Attendees were brand managers and marketing executives from global brand consumer packaged goods, retail, and consumer services; sponsors included major media properties and national advertising agencies and PR firms.

Directed all marketing, member service functions, and member events for prestigious, historic private city club. Conceived, managed, and coordinated all aspects of events for current and potential members. Doubled the number of member events offered each month. Managed budgets for advertising, promotions, and member events. Wrote, edited, and supervised design and production of all collateral and branding, including website. Acted as staff liaison for various committees and represented the Club at community events. Supervised staff of four full-time and six part-time direct reports and summer intern.

Performed diverse marketing, event and account services for an interstate natural gas pipeline. Designed and implemented all aspects of high-end customer recognition, incentive, and award functions. These events significantly strengthened company/customer relationships and became points of differentiation for Iroquois versus its competitors. Managed $400k annual corporate budget for corporate/customer events, advertising, and promotions. Acted as liaison between Regulatory, IT, and Customer Service on the development and implementation of the company’s proprietary e-commerce system.

Assisted two vice presidents at branch office of Boston-based mutual fund company.

Edited technical reports and assisted general manager at branch office of national remediation research company. Company was bought by competitor and office was closed.

Processed all donations, coordinated donor correspondence, researched potential foundation and corporate donors, coordinated donation reports for staff and board meetings.
