PACE is a nonpartisan organization that works to advance equality in Northwest Louisiana so that the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community can lead open, honest, responsible, and safe lives at home and in the workplace.We believe that the most effective way to achieve these goals is to educate our communities and to constructively participate in the political process.PACE sponsors a social support group for LGBTQA high school to college age individuals. The mission of the social support group is to provide a safe and affirming environment for peer-to-peer social interaction and support.

I provided executive support for laboratory management as well as writing and editing functions to include developing project status reports, staff communications and marketing materials.I coordinate departmental meetings and activities.I was co-editor and a contributing author of a monthly, nationwide Demilitarization Business Unit newsletter. I served as the OSHA VPP Co-chair for Battelle, Tooele Operations and provide safety related instruction for staff. I coordinated safety initiatives and presented safety related workshops at regional and national conferences.

Six State Region

I worked with other board members while making decisions concerning the activities and direction of the association to serve the needs of our membership. Through the VPPPA, we helped to promote safe work practices and encourage employees to take ownership of their safety. Some of my responsibilities included helping to organize and plan the annual regional conference including selection of workshop presentations, keynote speakers, and gifts and give-a-way premiums. I also worked on the election subcommittee for vetting qualifications of candidates.
