Rob is a lifelong businessman and farmer who has served as Premier Ford’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness since June 6th, 2024. He previously served as Associate Minister of Housing, having been appointed to that role on September 4th, 2023. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as the MPP for Elgin—Middlesex—London on June 2nd, 2022. From June 29th, 2022 to September 4th, 2023, Rob served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. He began his business career with Masterfeeds Inc. as a Sales Trainee, and became its President and CEO in 1993, retiring in 2022 after almost 43 years of service. He grew the company from being a primarily Ontario-based business to a national animal nutrition company with significant operations in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. He has received the Golden Award from the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada for his industry leadership and service.Rob also served in multiple leadership roles with the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the Ontario and Canadian Hereford Associations, and owns a cow-calf farm where he raises Polled Hereford cattle. Rob has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the community for over three decades. He is the founder of an annual golf tournament, the Charity Classic, which supports the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and Camp Trillium. He has also served as a Director and Chair of the London International Airport and past Chair of St. Peter’s Seminary Foundation.
