As a data review specialist, I review sensitive client data to verify the presence of methane gas in remote facilities. With the expanding role of technology to help solve environmental problems, it is exciting to work in a role where I am able to have an immediate impact on helping our clients reduce their methane releases into the atmosphere. Within my role, it is my duty to.• Troubleshoot technological issues as they occur• Come together with various engineering teams to complete projects• Oversee several data reviewers to ensure that work is being completed efficiently and thoroughly while maintaining a high level of accuracy• Collaborate with software developers to help improve the data review process and increase efficiency• Conduct data reviews in urgent timelines depending on client needs• Review large quantities of data within tight time constraints• Safely review sensitive data ensuring client confidentiality is maintained throughout• Train new hire data reviewers to ensure that they have the desired skill set to conduct their work

• Travel to sites throughout Alberta to set up, take down and troubleshoot gas-imaging equipment at oil and gas facilities• Troubleshooting technical issues on-site or remotely when available• Collaborate with various engineering teams• Conduct thorough data review of field images• Conduct physical set up of field equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Conducted fieldwork and site visits for Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments.• Conducted asbestos and hazardous materials assessments of decommissioned oil and gas facilities.• Led hazardous materials surveys of numerous natural gas meter stations throughout Alberta. Completing inspections for asbestos-containing materials, mercury, PCB-containing materials and lead-based paints.• Documented site activities through detailed site photos and notes• Logged soils observed from boreholes, and test pits. Conducted field screening for organic vapours and soil conductivity prior to laboratory analysis.• Worked on various upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities, gas transmission facilities and retail fuel facilities within Western Canada.• Organized third party contractors according to client safety requirements and field activities• Ground level project management experience organizing various third-party crews to ensure efficient site visits and that all required site activities were completed.
