About Rob Johnson

I’ve done a little bit of a lot of things (some deeper than others—I’ve done some things I’m quite proud of too!). I started out as an Electrical Engineer, but was bitten by the software bug and explored software companies from many angles including roles as: post-sales solution architect, technical pre-sales engineer, electrical engineer, software developer, field leader, and engineering leader. I've also been a database administrator, control systems engineer, network engineer, and developed in many languages including: Pascal, FORTRAN, Perl, Visual Basic, C, SQL Script, and Java. I intend on diving into Scala at the behest of my friends who claim it's better than Java. I've gotten great thrills--really!--out of writing a lot of SQL in my time and love Unix in most of its forms. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given by all the folks I’ve worked with and for. I’m learning that I love helping people and I really enjoy work that helps others on our journey through life.
