As a CIO/CTO, I see my role as first and foremost a business leader. I see technology as an enabler of performance not a solution in its own right. As a result, I set and execute enterprise-wide transformational agendas that not only deliver performance gains but set up organisations for the future with flexibility and customer-centricity.Driven to not only make a difference but push what is possible to establish new benchmarks in performance and customer experience, I have most recently served as an executive and technology leader with the AFL, Open Universities Australia and CBUS Super, where I have played a key role in modernising technology delivery, driving revenue generation and monetisation initiatives, and aligning the customer experience with brand promise. In all roles, I led multimillion-dollar digital transformations with maximum return on investment, building in-house capability, technology connectivity and integration, technology innovation and new products, and more robust policies and risk practices that ensure high standard delivery, always. For my success, I have been recognised as a Top 50 CIOs for three years.I’ve often been told making the complex simple is my ‘superpower’. I work well as a conduit between teams, Boardrooms and the front-line, partners, vendors, contractors and diverse stakeholder groups, operating in politically complex scenarios. I understand the challenges of change and work to free up businesses from their problems with vision, securing buy in for the value that technology brings and guiding people in implementation.
