I am an M.D., Ph.D. with a broad medical, academic and life science industry background and with an intense focus on drug discovery and development in Oncology. My working life experience includes experimental academic research, medical practice and 23 years in biotech and pharmaceutical industry in senior positions in translational medicine and clinical development.I have extensive hands-on experience with all phases of drug development and possess a broad knowledge of drug discovery and development principles and practice with an emphasis on early clinical research and the opportunities and risks with Proof-of-Concept projects. I have a proven track record as a successful leader of cross-functional teams from my previous positions as Director Translational Medicine at Merck/MSD, Director Clinical Research at Organon, and Medical Advisor at Genzyme. I have originally been trained as a molecular biologist and as a physician.
