I am also serving on the Board of Directors in an unpaid position for the Philadelphia Folksong Society as their Resource Development Director. Designed multi-faceted fundraising strategy to enable organization to move forward, resulting in erasing nearly all of their $200K+ deficit. Conceived of, named, designed, scripted, recruited and led volunteer team in implementing first Gene Shay/Founders' Awards Event. resulting in approximately 400 attendees. Personally solicited approximately one third of funding. Event over-achieved fundraising goal by 45%.

The mission of GCBGC is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. As Director of Donor Relations and Outreach at GCBGC, I was responsible for the organization's new development office and led their efforts to build new relationships and nurture existing ones so that they could meet services in the region. My responsibilities included, building infrastructure, developing protocols, increasing retention, securing new donors, designing and implementing all fundraising events, supporting board efforts to fundraise, securing funds through personal solicitation, grant writing (corporate, foundation and government) and overseeing external communications and marketing for the organization. A new CRM was put in place, all donor information was migrated, protocols were established, a significant number of new donors were added, increasingly large event fundraising goals were achieved and grant submissions increased from 14 to 30.

Founded in 1889, College Settlement offers young people unique outdoor educational experiences- summer, spring and fall on 234 acres of land in Horsham, PA. The more than 4,000 young people served are from Philadelphia as well as surrounding counties.As Executive Director I oversaw: *Major growth in revenue to minimal increases in expenses (28% vs. 7%) *Improved fundraising infrastructure and staffing resulting in 76% overall (4 yr) increase*Increased program outreach and enrollment (approx 20%) *Recruitment of many new board members and significant organizational restructuring, all while maintaining stability within the organization (core staff) and continuity of the mission. *Also advocated for and secured completion of vital $1.1 million construction project on time and under budget.

The Philadelphia Education Fund is dedicated to improving the quality of public education in Philadelphia and the region, so that youth are prepared for college and careers. Responsibilities included managing a portfolio of 60+ corporate and private foundations, grant writing, corporate relationships, interfacing with program staff in regards to funding opportunities, event planning and management. In my short time here I submitted more than 70 grant proposals resulting in over $1 million in revenue.
