Identify and implement process control solutions that result in continuous improvement of Linde plant and equipment and are consistent with Linde’s strategies and standards in the region EMEA. The role includes support of existing software (LMPC, ALC, APC). To share the best operation practice and work with regional counterpart to analysis gaps, make plan of improvement to achieve best operation in the region. Ensure that Advanced Process Control is developed and applied within all plant types in Linde Gas (ASU, HyCO, CO2) where usefull and the required technology, hardware and software is implemented and continually improved to meet the objectives of the Linde Gas business. Coordination between GGC and RBU needs. Responsibilities: • Support of LMPC in the production plants • Identify opportunities to improve economic, customer operation of ASU plants, with regions for most promising adoption. • Develop and exchange with RBUs/GGC best practices for the implementation of advanced controls for Linde plants. This includes advanced control strategy applied generically and specifically to Linde plants, use of vendors, and project schedule • Auditing with RBU of existing control systems and existing APCS / LMPC Systems • Exchange with RBU-site control and RBU-IPC engineers to improve LMPC system reliability • Suggest improvements to existing systems to the regional advanced control engineers • Train local users and local IPC Engineers on LMPC tools. Identify RBUs education needs and ask GGC to develop. • Be a Linde Gas LMPC expert for all plant types and provide assistance to regional teams. Promote expert network inside EMEA-RBUs and GGC. • Software installation of technical computers (DCS and Scada/HMI system) according to the specifications of the Linde IT organization and policies • Support the judgement of costs vs. benefit of LMPC-installations
