I am an ICT aficionado and internet specialist and have been involved in the industry for over three decades, with extensive experience in general management, as well as driving new business development in South Africa and the broader African continent. My lifelong interest in technology has contributed to an in-depth knowledge of internet markets, technology and products. I co-founded Connection Telecom (now Telviva) together with Steve Davies in 2004, in an effort to shake up the business telephony market in South Africa. Initially establishing itself as the industry pioneer in IP PBX, the company has since evolved into Telviva, the market leading cloud business communications provider.Telviva works closely with customers to better understand their requirements, and then to bring synchronicity to their business communications and customer engagements. We do this by designing and implementing fit-for-purpose solutions - be it pure voice, unified communications, omni channel communications, regulatory compliant call recording, or contact centres. We also have regular executive-level engagements with customers in order to analyse performance and identify areas for improvement.With our innovative open source products being developed in-house, it also means that we work closely with customers to identify features or integrations that they might require, and then develop these for them.Telviva was built on principles of strong service delivery ethic, as well as being honest, open and transparent toward our employees and our customers - and they appreciate us even more for it.Prior to founding Connection Telecom, I held senior roles at companies such as Compustat/Korbitec, Internet Africa, UUNET, Verizon Business and MTN Business. My start in senior management was as Branch Manager for the British Shoe Corporation in London.Born and bred in Cape Town, I inevitably ended up back in Cape Town which is the most awesome place to be privileged enough to stay in!
