Most recently (start of 2015) the role took responsibility for defining the self-service strategy and roadmap for the way users within Rio Tinto complete transactions themselves anywhere, anytime and on any device.Prior to 2015, the role took responsibility for driving the integration of the program’s multiple work-streams through the design and implementation planning phase of Rio Tinto’s functional human resources transformation. The transformation program was formalised in July 2013 with the aim of supporting cost reduction targets, whilst building a more affordable, effective, operationally efficient and sustainable way of delivering HR support and services for Rio Tinto.
