Rob Maciak first worked as an audio and lighting technician for the Theatre Services department of the university at which he was doing an undergraduate degree in classical music. He then enjoyed a 17-year career as a professional musician during which he fulfilled performance, instruction, and management contracts with the Banff Centre for the Arts, Mount Royal University, Department of National Defense, Cirque du Soleil, National Geographic, and five professional orchestras across Alberta and British Columbia. His playing is also featured on five albums that span eleven musical genres. In 2018, Rob started working as the Production Manager of Calgary Audio Visual and Rentals, which provides services for corporate conferences, live music events, sporting events, live streaming, studio audio engineering, videography, and lighting. Rob has also held a production staff and equipment technician position with the Canmore Folk Music Festival since 2013.In his spare time, Rob enjoys mountaineering in the Canadian Rockies, and volunteering for a secular homeless shelter as a cooking instructor.
