I am a self taught developer with a creative background, a fair amount of business experience and a lot of common sense. I see myself more as a creative problem solver, code is just my primary toolset. However I believe my biggest asset is the ability to co-ordinate technical specifications with design and business requirements.Initially getting into the industry via graphic design on the back of some basic photoshop skills, I quickly started to learn about front end web development. I am well versed in HTML5, CSS3 & JS and pay close attention to CSS architecture, SVG implementation & UI/UX design. Over the years I expanded my backend knowledge through PHP & MySQL, from Wordpress & Drupal, to custom CMS platforms powered by MVC frameworks such as Cake & Laravel. Not wanting to leave any gaps in the development process, I learned about infrastructure design with AWS, GCP & started deploying configured auto scaling server implementations. In recent years I’ve been trying my hand at implementing these skills in a few different startups, and providing solutions for startups and small businesses as a contractor.Currently my focus has been on creating high-performance JS PWAs, React Native, GraphQL & Serverless deployments.
