At the Australian Institute of Company Directors [ AICD ] I was responsible for the development and advocacy of policy for Australia’s company directors in fields including corporate governance, law, reporting, tax, remuneration and corporate social responsibility. In addition I advised members on these matters both through the Company Director magazine and via our website. More recently I established and am the Executive Director of the AICD's "think tank" , the Governance Leadership Centre [ GLC ] .I am also an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University's Graduate School of Management [ MGSM ] . I have been a non-executive director and company secretary of a number of companies, am a qualified commercial mediator and have a background in director and corporate advice and have previously worked for major legal, accounting and financial institutions. I also chaired the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI) Policy Committee. The GNDI represents over 100,000 directors worldwide.
