In the process we found ourselves building tools to help manage information overload so that we could stay current with all that was changing on the technology landscape. We recognized that that which we were building for ourselves would be impactful to others. Leveraging quantitative analytics, machine learning, and our long history in managing structured and unstructured data sets we have been focused on delivering a tool designed for research, content sourcing, tracking developing stories, personalized news, and content creation. It enables users to follow and explore highly specific topics and news stories they care about, while monitoring for significant updates as desired.

Spot was one of the country's leading equity and index options trading firms for nearly twenty years. A member of several exchanges, Spot was recognized twice as one of Chicago's "Top 100 Workplaces" by the Chicago Tribune and as one of the country's "101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For" by the National Association for Business Resources several times. The firm was a leading liquidity provider and market-maker for U.S. exchange-listed derivatives and deployed a highly integrated model, where traders, quantitative analysts, equity analysts and technologists work closely together to capitalize on pricing opportunities in the options, securities, commodities and futures markets.
