Conduct security operations pertaining to the safety of US State Department personnel and contractors including movement to, from and around the embassy complex, physical security of the embassy and responding to various emergency situations.

As a Non-Commissioned Officer filled a Staff NCO billet of Platoon Sergeant. During this time, I established and implemented platoon standard operation procedures for daily operations. These SOPs were proven to mitigate IED threats as we found more than ten IEDs before detonation, thus successfully avoiding enemy contact. Daily, I assisted in mission planning and the platoon, company, and battalion level. I Successfully kept five M1114 HMMWVs and two MRAP vehicles fully operational and on a 15-minute tether for quick reaction on the Battalion Commanders orders. I coordinated, planned, and conducted platoon training in preparation for two deployments to Iraq. During Deployment, I planned and executed live-fire training ranges and conducted sustainment training on a monthly basis. I also Maintained 100% accountability of all personnel and equipment in a fast-paced, combat environmentI Served in support of OIF from July 2006 to February 2007 and October 2007 to May 2008. Daily, I lead combat patrols on a daily basis to include: mounted patrols, foot patrols, cordoned knocks, vehicle searches, and targeted operations (raids). I planned and executed over 300 mounted and dismounted patrols in support of counter-insurgency operations. During a 10 day regimental operation, I successfully navigated through more than 600 miles of open desert. During which my team was responsible for gathering census information and providing humanitarian relief in a remote area of Iraq.During my Deployments to Iraq, I tactically employed a Personal Security Detachment in combat. This team was responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Task Force 3/2’s Battalion Commander and VIPs during all operations. On a daily basis, we safely and securely transported our principles throughout hostile battlespace and established and maintained static /sight security for these individuals.
