All components were developed to maximize reusability with emphasis on genericity, portability, encapsulation, modularity, understandability, maintainability, reliability (graceful degradation), and information hiding. Development included all necessary documentation. Software was developed using the Rational R1000 Development environment and its fully integrated set of computer aided software engineering (CASE) tools.
