Robert Nerini Email and Phone Number
As an architectural designer with years of experience, people are often surprised to find I’m also a fully qualified carpenter. Both my carpentry and architectural work have a basis in the world of structural framing and I have a real passion for heritage work. I have experience working directly with clients as well as managing teams and working independently. I have fulfilled these roles both in an architectural and construction setting. My practical build knowledge is invaluable to my role as a designer as it allows my work to be realistic and feasible. Coming from a construction background also helps when managing projects and organizing tradespeople. As well as a working knowledge of the principles of building and the ability to use hand and power tools, I also have a good knowledge of building regulations and the planning process. I have a great eye for aesthetic composition and experience using sketch-up, auto CAD, photoshop, and rendering softwares. I am very IT literate and can learn to use most programs without much time. I am a persuasive writer and have good sales skills that link directly to my outstanding people management and ability to approach situations with logic and fairness. A great deal of these skills stem from the experience of listening to people's needs and balancing resources. I am passionate and dedicated which makes me loyal to my company and generous with my time.My biggest achievements over the last few years include:The conversion of a methodist chapel into my first house as a personal projectThe conversion of a derelict bungalow into my parents retirement property as a personal projectThe contentious planning approval of a new build 5-bed rural home as part of my employmentWorking my way from apprentice carpenter to senior architectural designer during my employment at natural structures. In September 2023 I will enroll in a university architecture course. A great joy of architecture is its relationship to other subjects. Designs can often be inspired by personal experience, a client's interests, or a thought-provoking concept from another field of study. It is important for a designer to have an array of interests and an inquisitive mind. These are qualities I believe I possess.
