  We provide economics and finance consulting services for complex business litigation. For businesses, we provide advice and exposure estimation for anticipated or existing litigation. We present clear results required for communication with directors, senior management, and outside insurers. For litigators, we assist in all phases of litigation. When outside testifiers are needed we identify ideal candidates and provide all necessary research support for their testimony. Our work has been used in a variety of dispute resolution formats including trial, mediation, arbitration, and settlement discussions.Areas of expertise include residential and commercial mortgage backed securities, hedging and risk management, commercial and retail banking, complex securities and derivatives, options pricing, securities damages calculation, and general valuation. Our clients have included major law firms, banks, the I.R.S., the U.S. Department of Justice, taxpayers, and a variety of businesses. Technically, we specialize in large data analysis combined with complex computer modeling and simulation, particularly as applied to problems in finance. We have developed securities trading and abnormal return models used in shareholder class actions and related claims. We have designed exotic option and derivative valuation tools using a variety of modeling and simulation techniques. Our experience has involved client data sets measured in terabytes, and we have assisted clients in discovery by masking and encrypting sensitive customer information while preserving data integrity for analysis.Our typical case involves damages exposure of ten to several hundred million dollars, includes one or more outside testifying experts, and our work lasts six months to a year or more.
