I work in both a research and consultancy capacity at the university in all things relating to audio. Projects I have worked on range from traditional room acoustic consultancy to signal processing and audio forensics. Much of my work takes place using the extensive world-class acoustic test facilities at the University of Salford enabling e.g. the testing and optimisation of loudspeakers and microphones in our anechoic chamber, subjective/perceptual assessments of audio systems in our ITU BS… Show more I work in both a research and consultancy capacity at the university in all things relating to audio. The project was looking at the future of interactive broadcasting and developed a complete end-to-end system for scene capture, delivery, rendering and interaction. As part of the audio team I was particularly involved in the audio capture and rendering which involved the development of new capture techniques to facilitate a format-agnostic audio object approach to audio for live events. As part of the audio team I was particularly involved in the audio capture and rendering which involved the development of new capture techniques to facilitate a format-agnostic audio object approach to audio for live events.
