Rob Oldfield is an engineer, researcher and entrepreneur based in Manchester, UK. Rob is co-founder of Salsa Sound who have developed a patented AI engine which automates and enhances audio mixing for live sports broadcast, improving mix quality, consistency and production efficiency for broadcasters and enables them to create content that helps viewers fully connect with the action on the field.Rob has worked in the audio industry for over 15 years and gained his PdD from the University of Salford in immersive audio. Rob is an Enterprise Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering and former winner of the IABM Dragon’s Den competition. He is passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship and sports and wants to help broadcasters create high quality content that is immersive and engages with audiences.
