I contribute to the design and implementation of a machine learning based Digital Assistant for Conflict Resolution for the En-Route phase.I'm currently coordinating CIRA's project "Autonomous Flight in Complex Scenarios (NUVASC)" where I'm also responsible for designing and implementing several AI-based Use Cases to explore new technological developments for aerospace systems. Specifically I contributed to the design and implementation of:- a Digital Assistant for arrival scheduling based on genetic optimization and reinforcement learning techniques (doi: 10.3390/info14040216)- a deep-learning based classifier of GNSS signals to infer different visibility conditions of the GNSS receiver (submitted for publication)I recently tutored a bachelor's degree thesis entitled "Deep Q-Learning in Air Traffic Control: An AI-Powered Decision Support System for En-Route Conflict Resolution" for Sapienza Università di Roma. My other past activities include:- Project C4E: Crowd for the Environment. My responsibilities included: data analysis on historical spatial data using Python and Q-GIS; UCT based Monte Carlo Tree search for combinatorial optimization problems (2021-2022).- Study of combinatorial problems using Monte Carlo Tree Search, Q-learning and Pointer Networks (2021)- CIRA's project Hybrid High Altitude Airship: due to my expertise in LTA systems, I was involved in mission feasibility analysis of the airship ascent (2020 - 2021)- TINDAiR (Tactical Instrumental Deconfliction and Flight Resolution) SESAR Project.
