I was a senior member of BDO’s London based Technology, Media & Telecoms (“TMT”) team. BDO UK provides tax, audit and assurance, advisory and business outsourcing services to companies across all sectors of the economy and is the 5th largest accounting firm in the UK and globally. My role encompassed both the audit of complex international Groups and also advisory work such as listing and transaction support, acquisition structuring, improvements in systems, processes & controls and team development. My client portfolio throughout my time at BDO included key clients of the firm including Agilent Technologies, M&C Saatchi, Next 15 Communications and Mood Media. My portfolio at any point in time was typically well balanced between large international listed groups, private equity backed businesses and rapidly growing private and owner managed businesses.My work regularly took me to BDO and client offices around the world, particularly North America, Europe and South-East Asia.
